Fuel / Vacuum pump spacer M38A1

Postby timjuhl » Thu Dec 29, 2011 3:06 pm

Anyone got a spare spacer that fits between the fuel / vacuum ump and engine block?

Short of that, does anyone know the correct thickness of the spacer?

Thanks!

9/19", That measurement must be one of those "finer details are gained from daily parts counter experience and exposure to hundreds of the type".

And where were you when he asked?
He does not need the 800361 anyways, his pump requires the 647669 instead.
Yes hundreds of the type over the decades.

We already answered his question on the www.willysmjeeps web site forums yesterday at 1:55PM.

When most of us make the inevitable typo we usually just take the notice in stride and go to our post and correct it to prevent any confusion down the line.

Your answers were not the issue. It was the sour response you gave one of the members below that I replied to.

The WE are us regular non-chest thumping folks who take in the error notice with a grain of salt and just correct it.

Well, Cuz, I got the chest to thump, the proud credentials, the experience, and a beautiful turn key collection of the very vehicles I was trained to maintain by the US Army. Bugs you, doesn't it.

Doesn't bug me at all. I have seen the lowest folks on the planet have tons of just about everything. Only proves to all that those with tons of everything can still be way down at the bottom of the pond.

Which spacer did you suggest Tim needed to install the fuel pump on his M-38A1?

The one appropriate for the pump being used. Is there another choice you know of?

Exactly the type answer I expected from you, and there is a good chance your answer would not be correct.
