Interesting stuff. It does look like, tho, that the Novak adapter is for adapting the T-90 TO another engine rather than adapting the transmission to fit the existing configuration. I am not considering doing that, but it is all good for study. It would be interesting to see how such a 5-speed transmission would perform in a jeep, tho. I wouldn't be surprised if this hasn't been done after all. I DO know of a Model A Ford that had a 5-speed chevy tranny. Like the Jeep, they are geared low and experience high revs on the road. The additional ratios do slow the engine down, reducing the wear and tear. Then there are the Overdrive units which accomplish the same thing. there's an interesting animal! He took me on a drive one day and demonstrated how he could "split-shift" it thru 6 forwards. Of course, you wouldn't do that on a regular basis! Cars (and Jeeps) are such FUN!
