Postby Lindsay » Sat Dec 10, 2011 11:14 am

I'll be going to my first showw in Feb, I know thier is a flea market, Is it usually cash only , or do venders accept debit card or credit cards?
Also should i wait for my vehicle be 100% done or can i bring the way it is?
Its about 90% now!

Cash is king, as they say. Some of the larger shows have vendors with credit card capability but it is rare to see. Often stuff will get sold while you go off grounds to find an ATM, so be prepared. It helps to have a budget worked out and a list of needs, especially if you are like some of us who buy anything green that seems to be cheap at the time.

And bringing a 90 percent done jeep gives you a chance to do the other ten percent right. It is amazing the things folks can tell you about correctness at a show, just be aware there are many armchair experts out there who are dead wrong. And everyone enjoys seeing an in progress jeep. Even rolling chassis tend to have crowds around them.

What show are you going to??

Thanks Lindsay, you just gave me a better line to use when my buddies give me a hard time about the jeep hobby..

Hey at least I'm not RACING them...... :D

I was involved with a bunch of SCCA racers years ago... every weekend someone would total their racecar, it would get rebuilt and rewrecked a few weeks later....Didn't make any sense ot me.
