The "Rhino" painted as Thunder Bird 7 appears to be "Spotless"! Outstanding photos! I will need 2 days to visit that place. 8)

Impressive photos, brings back old memories......Noted a pic of the B-18, which we in the Civil Air Patrol assisted in it's move from Litchfield, AZ to Pima Air Museum in 1974....could not fly it, so it was towed on back roads (too wide for freeway) most all the way. We had two Cessna 140's flying cover.....(more fun than work) during the movement. It has been restored during all these intervening years to a pristine example of pre-WWII bomber manufacture. The B-18 was built by Douglas Aircraft about 1935-1938 to compete with the emerging B-17 from Boeing. The B-18 had DC-1 wings and a unique fuselage complete with bomb-bay. This particular B-18 had been converted to a crop duster, and had a large (forget the size) tank inside made of aluminum that we took out and sold to finance the move to Tucson. We attempted to remove the wings from the fuselage, but met with rivits over an inch thick....so the wings were taken off outside of the engine nacelles, similar to the DC-3 design. The aircraft was then towed with the tail up on a truck. I believe the spread of the main gear was either 24 or 26 feet so we had to use backroads for transport....There were several fenceposts along the way that had to be removed and replaced because of the width of the aircraft.....The move was completed in two days actual towing time and about 2 months prep time to get it ready for transport.

Ah, memories.......
