Hi,

This is off topic but you may know the answer. Can vintage surplus spark plugs be used in vintage aircraft like B25s and the like up to B29s ?

Tom,
The answer is yes.. that being said it depends if the item is the correct part number and if the item is used
or is it NOS? I had an entire box of NOS AC plugs from the 50's...they are still in use 10 years later..
IMHO - always pressure / electrically test plugs regardless of age prior to installation on a quality plug tester..
frankly I have found the older plugs of better quality.. FARs have no restrictions , as they are tested "on conditon".

Thanks,

The plugs are NOS. They are AC LS88. Where best would be a place to market these plugs ?

Tom,
Your plugs were very common , especially since the Wright built, Continental R-975 engine was so
prolific not only on aircraft, but with such land craft as the M4 ShermanTank , as well other small tanks up until the 50's.
IMHO...you might find more satisfaction simply donating the plugs to either a "underfunded military museum?
or the EAA..which is always looking for NOS items to keep their birds flying..
hope this helps...!! best of luck...
