45 gpw,s were also fitted with reflectors made by "arrow" They also have the "clipped" edges .Much the same as in Chucks picture.

Thanks!!! That is correct but my engine is an mb so I decided to just paint it green, then when and if I ever get the original engine I will paint it gray.... I talked to the 4th owner back a week or two ago and when he bought it in Oregon the jeep was all original matching numbers and he was going to build it as a rock crawler so he took the original gpw motor and many parts he didn't want and sold or gave them to Ron Fitzpatrick so I am trying to locate the motor anyway thought that was kinda interesting.

The jeep is looking great!
Just realized it is very close to my GPW.
Mine is 6-11-45 and #271022.
Mine had the deep mud exhaust with bracket on "V" brace.

I bought the paint from army jeep parts and its the ford 33070 color.. I was originally planning to paint it the earlier more tan color 34087 from surplus city, but I had a gallon of the 33070 I needed to use plus in 45 it was that color to my understanding. Maybe my next jeep will be the 34087 as I really like it!!!

Thanks! I was looking at the 319 and the 33070 OD, but I wasn't too sure which was generally considered correct for a '42 GPW. I will have to check out the 34087. If that is an earlier color option, that may be the color that would be a good match for my GPW. I'll do a little more research and see what I can come up with. Thanks again!
