12 volt "conversion"

Post by scruffy1 » Mon Sep 26, 2011 1:21 pm

Bubba "converted" my 24volt system by running a lead from the second battery to a 12v coil and replacing the original plugs and wires with a standard CJ set. Also, ran a 12v wire from the same battery to power the brakes, running lights and turn signals. I'm going back to 24v and my question is this: Can I run a 24v ignition system on a standard set of plug wires and plugs? I need time to save up for an original wire/plug set.
Thanks!

What about the points and condenser?

If you have installed a 24 volt distributor as you indicated above then use the correct points and condenser for that distributor.
