Spring 2011 Camp Delta Activities are Posted- UPDATES

The largest annual MV event in the West is approaching. Located near Lodi, CA April 17-24, 2011. The Camp Delta activities are now posted here: http://www.mvccnews.net/event_pages/tow ... events.htm
Check back for updates. If you know folks that might be interested in any of these displays or activities but don't get the MVCC newsletter, or see posts like this, or can't read, tell them about the event. It would be nice to see some MVs that we don't usually see, especially Dodges and Staff Cars because they are featured this year. If you are not familiar with our two events at this venue, find the Basic Training info on the website. Campers pay special attention to those details - very full at the Spring event. Also you can find past Camp Delta/Tower Park photos in the Gallery section off the home page.

Also an early FRAG ORDER: the major displays planned for Spring 2012 are the "Concours d'Eleguns" - MV-mounted or towed ordnance, and "Engineer and Work Vehicles" - not specifically designed to carry troops or general cargo. This is for 2012.

They have no displays scheduled for the Fall Tower Park event.

Let’s get all the IHC’s together at 2 PM Friday on the grass field that was used as the LZ for the Huey.
Generate some placards for bragging rights, rub some of the mud off the tires and show them what we have!

I will be in site #304 making my M-2-4 as Pretty as I can.

Fall 2011 activities schedule is hot off the presses. This is what we will post around plus KOA will have them for you at the office. Should be a good swap meet. If you will be making reservations, go through KOA for the Fall event. ID yourself as with the military vehicle event and ask for Campground 4. They are trying to funnel civilians into Campground 2 for the Fall meets only. See www.mvccnews.net in the Event area for all the info.

Just back from Tower Park

Good participation for Fall and plenty of vendors.
Was worried about the IHC display but just before opening time enough came up to DOUBLE the amount of IHC trucks there!!!

That made two of us!

I'll bet Frank will be kicking himself for selling his cornbinder when he finds out an All IHC Motor Pool will be featured in April on Saturday. 'Course big is relative - can we get a half dozen? Paul - thanks for organizing the teaser display last Friday and for being POC for next April.
