Hope to see you at Tower Park in September. With the items in your sig you might want to come back for the April 2012 version because we are having our first Concours d'Eleguns for vehicle mounted or towed ordnance. All you have to do is bring horses and limber! POC Dave Aro is probably going to schedule a meeting at this September's event to talk about it.

I think you must be a soul-mate for Mac. He needs to find some wheel for his Gatling limber so let him know if you run into anything. I don't know why he doesn't put his own son on the case since Dan plays with that old stuff regularly. Poor Mac wants to bring the gun to the Concours d'Eleguns so bad but we might not let him unless he has horses too. Have to talk with Dave and think on that. He might have to come down this Fall and buy us beers.

You are welcome to bring your Vickers for the Spring display if you can find a suitable MV to mount it on. Maybe there's a Bren Carrier floating around.

And when are you IHC guys going to do a display at Tower?

Recommend you start a new thread with the right title before it gets out of hand here. Seriously you might have to talk Ron (Kurt) into making it a sticky because it will disappear due to no action. Or is there more off-brand interest out there than some think???

The idea is an IHC display at Tower Park.
I put out a survey to see if anyone is interested.
I do not know if we can get it together for Fall. But will for Spring if there is room on the schedule.
I am concerned about this because if we show what real trucks are supposed to look like all you guys will burn your jeeps!
I will try to keep it low key, I do not want the EPA to get upset.

If you want to do a small display next month to test the waters you are more than welcome. Like put a couple binders in front of the Pavilion or on the grass by the pool. Major display in the field would have to be Fall 2012 or Spring 2013. We have two big showcases planned for Friday, Spring 2012, plus motorcycles/scooters at the Pavilion that might be Thursday and Saturday afternoons.

Anybody wanting to set aside a time to display anything, especially in your camp, can get it into the official schedule I publish by letting me know. I also watch out for conflicts. Right now we don't have any displays scheduled for this Fall. Spring always has a lot on the schedule but mini-displays in a public space can be worked in at certain times. For example we had some VN vehicles out in the LZ next to the Huey for photo opps on a Saturday and they didn't affect the big display on Friday. And we had several "odd jeeps" in front of the Pavilion for a few hourse a couple years ago.

Just to clarify something... we have room for more than a small display of Internationals this September. How about this deal - NO LIMIT!

And besides binders we'd like to see everything else. If three people want to put a display on the publicized schedule consisting of Pinzgauers, or M38s, or 5 tons, or signal flares, or military watercraft, or slat grills, or a uniform walkabout, or non-US vehicles, or a compass course, or whatever, please bring it on!
