Quick Update!

Got a shovel, M1 Carbine, water bucket, period USAF uniform, canteen, knife, helmet and painted helmet liner in same fashion as the one in my father's photo. Plus I had two placards made with the dedication to my father and the history of the unit he was in.

This weekend I displayed the jeep at her first MV show (Papago). It was a lot of fun with the exception of a few wild kids wanting to use my axe and shovel as a ladder to jump in the driver's seat and a few adults showing no respect to other people's property.

Wow, she looked great! I had my dates mixed up and thought it was next weekend So needless to say I didnt get to see your jeep. Hey BTW that helicopter next to yours was an OH-6 Loach.

I know all about the wild kids and their next to useless parents.

You will have to make up some signs, something like ''look but don't touch'' or ''keep off ''or if you don't wont to beat about the bush '' piss off '' .

Also, you have done a great job on your Willys, your father would be pleased.

Simply awesome! I am just starting to look for a 44/45 MB myself. I am in North Phoenix and will definitely be checking out the next local MV gathering in the area in hopes to see this jeep in person! If you know of any local MB's let me know!!!

That is an insirational restore. So to answer your question, no.

That is one of those which will inspire many, being as you were a total amature doing it. There are many here who can teach lots, since they have so much knowledge to share, being long time jeep mechanics or having amassed a wealth of knowledge, but your project can inspire those who have little knowledge and experience in restorations.

I have spent the morning getting caught up.It looks great! you have done some fantastic work !

Now I think it is time for you take down the picture of mine and put up a picture of your beautiful MB.maybe some day ours will get a chance to run together at an event.
