Vent line, runs from the magneto to the air cleaner. There is also a larger crankcase vent line that has a shutoff valve at the aircleaner and runs down to the left side of the engine block.

yes, there are multiple holes, it' usually necessary to turn the lifting eye on the hub and check each hole until you find the pin...it's also possible that there is no pin in the hole. Should not have to beat the shi/ out of it.

Where are you seeing spacers, at the ends of the frame tube or where the bed mounts to the frame tube? The early mules that were converted from 4-cylinder to 2-cylinder had 1" spacer blocks between the frame tube mount and the bed to raise the bed up to clear the engine.

the single shift shaft to the far right is the high/low. On the two shifter shafts that are side-by-side near the top of the transmission, right one is 2-3, left is R-1

I have seen some spacers that looked like they would fit the ends of the frame tubes, don't know why they are needed, but if they are there on your mule, I'd just put them back like they were.It would be interesting to know if the left and right frame tubes are the same length, though.Should be.

if there isnt any pins in them would i beable to see thruogh them?
Maybe, if the hole in the nut is aligned with the hole in the axle, or the old pins haven't been sheared off in the axle holes. You should be able to take a good, bright flashlight and look in each hole as you turn the lifting eye on the hub, the spring pin should be even or just below the holes in the nut. May need to use some PB Blaster and a long bar to get the lifting eye to turn. If you are ABSOLUTELY sure there's nothing in any of the holes, you might try gently turning the nut with a socket and long pull handle and see if it moves. If you use an impact wrench, and the pin is there, 9 times out of 10 it will shear off and ruin the threads in the nut. I never put an impact wrench on the nut unless I know for sure that the pin is out.

I use a long punch and gently probe each hole as I turn the lifting eye. There are 6 holes in the nut.

In this case, somebody had used a cut nail instead of the correct 9/64"x1-1/4" roll pin, and it fell out into my hand when I touched it with the punch.

Here you can see the 6 holes in the nut. The axle has 4 holes. Axle nut is a normal right-hand thread.

Check more photos in my "Dust Boot Replacement" thread at the top of the mule forums.
Don't worry about asking questions, more than happy to share what little knowledge I have, and if I don't know it, somebody else on here will!
