M Series Modification (DISTRIBUTOR)

Post by lten1063 » Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:58 pm

This Modification will allow one to run civilian Plug Wires & Spark Plugs off of the original 24V Distributor. Cut to the length per cylinder. You will need to trim a bit off from the outer shield of the end that fits into distributor. Select the boot you desire. Will need to push in as far by hand then drive on home by taping it in with a small hammer and a small pocket flat tip screw driver.
Note: if you have a spare housing and cap you can revert back if you want.
Parts needed:
1 set of plug wires -
OMNI SPARK / 9998

O'REILLY

1 set of spark plugs-

I installed civilian plugs (Champion RJ6C) with these adapters:

Note, you need to get the stock/OE wires separately, they are not part of the adapter set.

I wish I could afford these right now. Guess I have to wait a bit. Thanks for the link.
