What are some good ideas for a non permanent set up for a storage box that would be big enough to keep my papers (registration and proof of insurance) and a few odds and ends as well as a place to mount a 24 to 12 converter?
I was thinking; if there's a cool place I could mount a 20mm ammo can and put the wiring inside, but cut a hole or two in the side for some water resistant marine 12volt plugs for cell phone and Cb radios etc. maybe even horse shoe a speaker or two and a radio in there too.
I wouldn't mind drilling a hole or three to mount the thing down but I'd rather it not be a permanent modification.
Thanks.

Re: Glove box/accessory box
Made one just like you describe. Used the correct four pin mil connectors and cable so it looked official.
Had a 24/12 converter inside, scanner, charger for my two meter radio. Still had space for some tools.
With the top on it made a great arm rest between the two front seats besides being waterproof .
One these days will make another.

Re: Glove box/accessory box
Took it of an old piece of GI radio gear.
The power cord was a standard four conductor power cord used in all GI radios.
Hope that helps.
