Valve cover leaking

Valve cover was leaking, got a new (NOS) cover and gasket, still leaks any suggestions?

Don, Check to make sure your PCV valve is not clogged and also if you have a fording valve make sure it is in the open position and not clogged. The valve cover has a lip inside and out and sometimes one of those lips will hang up on the head not letting the valve cover seal touch. When you put it on move it around a little and make sure it is seated on the gasket.

Tried a second time, no luck. Then I went to the new stuff and no leaks!

Also cork gaskets will give leaking problems where rubber wont but niether the less it always wise to RTV the valve cover side. Just be sure the head side is clean an free of debrie and resadue.
