Bustle Basket?
Does anybody have any pictures of a 151 with a bustle basket? These were quite common field mods in ww2 and it would be interesting to see if it was used in Viet Nam.

A2 Bustle Basket
In Korea, 1978, a Cav (4/7?) A2 came to pick up some TOW equip. Their Jeep was great! It had a bustle box, wooden half doors (with slit rubber firehose along the top, no windshield, wirecutter, vinyl seat covers, a 20mm box console.
In short, every modification that was strictly "illegal" in the 2nd Div.
I loved it, but didn't have a camera.
Now there would be something to pattern after!
Regards,
PFC W

All of our CSC Jeeps had metal bustle racks on the back, 1/77 AR in the late 70's. They were about 24" wide, 30" deep and went the length of the Jeep in back.

Re: Good to hear from Ft Cartoon :)
I was with 1/22 Inf at the time you were there. Looking for pictures of the equipment we used for the 22nd Inf Assn. We often worked with 1/77 and were the next motor pool over. If you have any, please get in touch with me. All credit will be given to you for your contributions. There isn't much history left about 22nd Bde's units, it was mostly destroyed in the archives at Pueblo. krewdo@yahoo.comtankjeepman wrote:All of our CSC Jeeps had metal bustle racks on the back, 1/77 AR in the late 70's.
