M151 FAV

Post by badgerord » Sun Sep 23, 2007 9:05 pm

Hi all,

Have owned a Mutt for about 3 years ( AM General A2 1972) and now I have bought an M151A2 Marine FAV.

1100 miles and the body looks nearly new.

I am looking for any intel other the few pice on the net.

I know this came from Camp Pendelton and last saw maintaince in June 2000.

Thanks
Marty

Hello and welcome badgerord

Can you post some pictures of your vehicles :?: I would especially like to see some of the FAV 8) Sorry I can't give you any intel on the FAV, as I know next to nothing on them. Can't remember seeing any real good pictures that detail the unique features of this M151 variant.

Marty:
Welcome to the site. I have only seen a couple of pictures of FAV, and submit these without any information.

It was sold to a Museum who kept it for 2-3 years then sold it.

I have a Form 97 on it so it is legit as it gets.

M151 FAV licensing

Post by Litz » Mon Nov 19, 2007 10:10 pm

badgerord,

Will they let you license the M151 FAV for driving on the street where you live?

I am curious because I can see how the DMV where I live would fail it upon inspection.

I hope your DMV was more understanding.

Litz
