Slat Grill 106163
Recently I bought Slat Grill 106163. According to the data plate it was built 12-24-41 so today the old lady is having her birthday. It needs a complete restoration, but the overall condition is fair and most of the parts are there. Currently a GPW engine is installed, but it came with an early Willys engine.
Will post pics later (As soon as I find out how).
Regards,
Jos

Wow, you went back in time, very cool.
My uncle flew that aircraft in WWII.

The TBM leaving the field brought back some old memories of my wildland firefighting days. Saw that depart scene after a fire retartent drop a number of times back in the 60's-70's.

Luc....not often an original WWII aircraft just happens to drop by for a visit....or a mechanical issue!
Interesting to note the SIZE of the aircraft when parked next to your slat grill....I am surprised this story did not end with you climbing aboard for the next leg of the journey!
