Hey guys...the jeep now has a new owner.
ImageImage

Jeep starts, runs and stops. It hasn't been apart. (I think I remember seeing some Pal nuts on the body bolts, but I'm not 100 percent sure. Rotted gas tank and well, needs typical hat channel repairs and lower panel stuff. I used it in Veterans events and parades back in the Y2K era before I left to go to Texas.

Serial is GPW 246xxxx IIRC.

Email me first, and I can call you or send my number. truckntran on aol is my mail.

Location, Middlebury VT. Vt transferable registration in my brother's name provided.

Matching GPW engine number, frame number, and data plate number on the original data plate. Runs and drives good enough for a parade. Spend a few weekends patching the worst holes and it would be a pretty good looking jeep. Spend some more time with the lighting and wipers and brakes and it would be street legal. I could Ebay it but if I can prevent that and get it to a real jeep nut like myself that is preferable.

Or do a full body off restoration, which is what it deserves if it doesn't stay as it is as a piece of preserved original history.

If I keep typing I'm gonna buy it myself...

Jeep is sold and gone, trailer sale pending but pretty sure it is going to the same guy as the jeep.

Thanks everyone for getting the word out. Lots of interest from all over the world. I ended up selling it to a local person at full price. I'm gonna miss it.
