Re: 1945 GPW found online
I'm sure Tom W will be along to answer that in a second. Thanks for the photos, looking forward to more, it's interesting to see your body handles were placed 'upside down (f mark wrong way up) like mine were, I'm having a dense moment here guys but is that the only orientation they can go in with the bolt holes?
Did you find any unit markings so far or is yours an end of war auction jeep? On the left hand side is the S behind the hood number or on the cowl, very interested to see if you turn up anymore markings such as perhaps an auction stencil on top of the cowling, I sent my tub off to the blasters before sanding back the cowling to check and regret it!
Matt

Very nice GPW Kiwi! Excellent decision on preservation.
That is a very late GPW, one of the last delivered I have seen!
cheers
Bill.

Oh wow, that really is a beauty. All the details you would expect to find including correct fender hardware. Interesting that the hood numbers are crooked! If you are interested I'd be more than happy to rebuild the wiper motors if they need some tlc, done twenty odd now and getting good at it

Hi Matt,
Thanks for the offer on the trico wipers, but I might rebuild them when I have the time..
Generator fitted was a later CJ type, and looks like non original bolts on the bracket as well..

Thanks for that, it's a shame that side has been messed with although it does show the bondstrap on the right hand side of the front engine plate as I found on my GPW too. Feel free to post anymore pics they are really appreciated. Boring detail bits are really useful. Your other bolt photos are perfect. That's ok on the Tricos, the offer stands if you change your mind
