GPW 124987. Complete front half of a tub.

Post by Ian Fawbert » Tue Mar 21, 2017 3:04 pm

Hi all,

In the never ending search for original jeeps to photograph (no matter how complete or incomplete!) to find and gain information from for our communal benefit, I was afforded access to view this original front half of a tub (Ford tub, no body number).

Quite a few interesting features often missing or unable to easily be photographed when there is the rest of the jeep around it and quite a few interesting use of seemingly original fasteners and parts too. It has been in the loft for ALONG time, well before many now seen repro parts came out.

There are quite a lot of shots and lots of angles. I couldnt get underneath it (due to it's location and my inability to walk upside down like a spider from a roofing rafter!!!).

A few samples and then a link with 13 pages for you to view (yes around 100 photos just of the front half of a tub!!!).

Apologies for double ups and the lack of order in the upload, I am not sure what happened when posting them to Surface Zero.

Regards and thanks for looking,
Ian.

Ian,

Great pics, just gone through them all. I have just been looking at Hinricks thread, when he had just bought it. Guess what :?: there's a photo of pan head screws on the dimmer switch plate. Here's the thread, 1st page.
