I've been pretty busy the last couple of months, but managed to massage the deal on this 44 GPW that I had my eye on for the last (4) years. For a Pacific Northwest jeep that has been sitting in the elements for 25 years, she looks great. The jeep had sat for so long that the ground had actually raised and grown around the wheels; I loaded it on the trailer and once home, aired up the tires just for giggles, and she has held 25psi for the last week now  The only jeep I've found with no rust through at the pioneer tool indent section or fuel sump, and only a 3in section of hat chennel will need to be replaced  . The frame matches the title which matches the data plates, and although it has an F script head, the block belongs to a 3A  . Anyway, I knew anyone who kept the original chains attached to the windshield pivots, felt tool box lids, and bothered to reupholster the hip pads must have taken pretty good care of everything else. This one has been real fun as the previous owner, who was a logger in the Mt. Hood region, left most of the bolts on it, so the F's have been real fun. hat channels and frame horns need work, but the tub has absolutely no rust through. Both firewall filterette and suppression under the passenger seat is intact as well. No rust through under the metal conduit, and I've never seen that before. After selling my MB project, I said I was done with jeeps for a while so that I could concentrate on the Command Car... this one changed my mind  . 'Click' on the picture, and the album will open

Looks great to me!! Definitely better than most I have seen here in Central NY's rust belt. Usually rust right to the ground around here......

Still has a lot of the goodies on it as well!! A very good find!!

Congrats!!

Looks like the original oval style reflectors for this vintage GPW. Can you tell us the manufacture name and numbers on them? Thanks for posting.

Ronnie, they state "Guide A-2 Number 415-A", and then "Made in the USA" on the bottom. OB

OB,

Is that a Converto Dump body I see in the background???

Great GPW. Take your time, find the equally patina'd missing parts and you'll have a very cool example.

..find the equally patina'd missing parts .
Well Jeff, if you could keep your 'used parts for sale' listed on the Gee for more than .03 seconds, maybe I would have a chance
