New forum for North Bay CA.
Hello and thank you Ron Fitzpatrick for this great site. NORTH BAY MILITARY VEHICLE CLUB, is starting a forum to get the word out for the North Bay area mvs to get knowledge of events and meetings that pertain to this area. The North Bay has a large delegation of mv that show every year at events such as tower park, Sonoma county pacific coast air show & Petaluma Veterans parade just to name a few. This club has been around for many years and is just now going on the internet.

First off, let me say, I admire your northbay collectors and their presence at the various northbay events. Kudos for that!
I am trying to understand the difference between the MVCC Northbay group and this group. Are they one in the same? If not, is there some reason that it is not? Different goals or philosophies. Seems that this group would be somewhat redundant with the existing MVCC group and I would be curious to know if their is cause for such a move.
Either way, good luck. I look forward to your promotion of the military vehicle and the collectors up your way that do such fine work. The northbay has some excellent restorers and they deserve to be recognized.

Any and all MV organizing is a good thing. Yes it is somewhat redundant, since the MVCC is set up with regional VPs who write about activities in their local areas, and thus a MVCC member gets the monthly newsletter which distributes this info about his local area as well as the other articles, big-picture event news, free want ads, etc. Also the www.mvccnews.net site fills in other gaps and provides photo publishing and late-breaking news.
Nevertheless there are MV people who don't want to pay dues (I assume there is still no dues for the NBMVC) or they are only interested in having a local clubby identity. That is fine with me. Rory invited me to be involved and I will gladly do so for the sake of redundancy, if not repetitiveness .
The main problem with creating something separate is that everybody wishing to spread the word about something will have to do it twice to reach everybody .

MBMVC & the MVCC
The MVCC welcomes the North Bay Military Vehicle clubs participation in the exciting world of military vehicle collecting. We are in a relatively small segment of the car world but one that we find fascinating partially because it's more that just collecting cars and trucks. The act of collecting and perpetuating the lives of these vehicles honors out great nation and those who have served her from 1775 to the present day. Welcome to all who have been bitten by the "green bug"
