Instrument Light Switch Location & Attachment

Postby stew » Tue Jan 25, 2011 8:30 pm

Can someone explain how the instrument light switch is mounted on the dash. It appears from the TM that it is mounted under the dash' pointing' down toward the floor. I would appreciate a photo if anyone would be so kind
Thanks, Stew

hope this helps.

by the way... many GP restorers are new to this forum, as they only recently started with their restorations.

I want to outline that I'm trying to help in any way I can 'cause years ago I received A LOT of help from those that were preceding me in this task... so, you now will have the moral obligation to keep this good tradition on this special forum (GP, BRC and MA) well alive. don't forget it! :D

maurizio,
Thanks for the pictures!!! Is the location where you found the holes already drilled or did you choose the spot to mount the switch? Mark :D

Yes this is the correct location for the switch, the holes should be in your GP in the same spot.

I bought the Andy LaBorde GP. He did extensive body work as did Jim Mulligan (an excellent job I might add). The holes are not there.
Thanks for the help! Stew

Stew,
make sure there is not putty or they have been welded shut. there could been a chance the front of the dash was replaced and they did not put the holes in for the switch. Good luck
