diesel cj2
I repair computer networks, and I visit a lot of the local Police departments. Last week I noticed a primer painted jeep for sale on an employee bulletin board. It was a nice looking tub with newer mag-type wheels and, according to the sellers write up, a "three cylinder Isuzu diesel engine".
Has anyone ever heard of this engine or its installation in a vintage jeep?

Re: diesel cj2
Most Jeeps in my country use this type of engines, gas is quite expensive here and diesel isn´t, besides you get better milage per litter. Not to mention more power than the original
Go-Devil.
Just for the record, I stick with stock.

Re: diesel cj2
Kaiser put the Perkins diesel in the CJ5 and CJ6 here in the states for a couple of years in the 60's. So if you want a US CJ and a Diesel you can have one stock.

Re: diesel cj2
Three cylinder diesels are a pretty common item, I was at a show here recently and talked to the Yanmar rep, he had a 3 cyulinder drop in for a cj, it takes some rigging to set it up but it didn't sound difficult.

Re: diesel cj2
The three cyl Isuzu's are common in some Onan gen sets, good engine, better option is the 3 and 4 cyl Kubota.
More reliable than Isuzu no oil leaks.
