OK you guys all think nate and I are insane with our M151 to M151-LC conversion right? If you did not know I am currently restoring a 1948 CJ2A for my Brother Geno's big 50 Birthday persent, well he is quite the Mechanic himself and asked me not to reinstall the L-Head 134 and T-90 trnasmission I rebuilt this winter, yes he still wants the power pack so i can't trade or sell it sorry. Anyway he went out and bought a Eletric engine and some kind of transmission he wnts to install in the Jeep...LOL

I don't know much about electric engines so I can't honstly ay much on the subject, but I am thrilled he wants to try it out all the same.

He has this idea about the batteries and a rechargable system that is like way over my head, but heck I have seen turbine engines under the hood of a M151 prototype so anything is possible.

Comments are always welcome on stuff like this I would be happy to forward idea and fun comments to his e-mail.

You and Nate have a very interesting project there. Try solar ray in Taos N.M. http://www.solarray.com/ . He does this kind of thing often. While I do not know the man, He has a reputation for being very helpful. I have thought about this modification, but even with the new longer lasting batteries, the range is just to short. Maybe if I lived in the city or I did not go on such long jaunts? Please keep us posted.
BTW. What ever happend to your 6X6 willys tow rig?
