BERLIN EXPRESS P-51B

Post by Ben Dover » Thu Jun 29, 2017 8:21 pm

Saw it land at Bangor ANG Base at the General Aviation Terminal this forenoon. Neat plane with Malcolm Hood. It's enroute to Duxford UK for an event. Pilot is Lee Lauderback, owner of Stallion 51. AC is taking same route as back in WWII.
Bangor ANG Base is former WWII Dow Field. Looked neat with its whitewall tires.

Original Berlin Express from 357th FG was piloted by Bill Overstreet who chased a Bf 109 thru the base of the Eiffel Tower.
