FS: WW2 453rd BG(H) Association Unit History -- great detail

Post by AZ Jeff » Sat Sep 10, 2016 5:11 pm

I have a very nice and very comprehensive Unit History of the WW2 453rd Bomb Group (Heavy -- B-24) to sell...

This book, The Liberator Men of "Old Buc" covers the 8th Air Force's 732-735 Squadrons, 467th Sub Depot, and 80th Station Complement which were ultimately stationed at Old Buckingham in the UK. This was actor Jimmy Stewart's unit and it includes one story he provided in the late 1980s.

This revised and updated, 1999 edition printed by the Association replaced the original 1979 edition. It is 8-1/2" x 11", 1 inch thick, double-sided pages with a comb binding. Professionally done, not some crude copier job. Includes excellent details on the history, combat missions, combat crew rosters (and their planes), role of honor, and rosters for the ground personnel. If you collect 453rd and 8th AF stuff this is an awesome reference. Condition is EXC, showing minimal wear and age.

$50 plus postage. Please PM direct if you are interested. Thanks for looking!
