scout car heater

Post by scoutcarM3A1 » Mon Jan 29, 2018 1:38 pm

hi,

I am about to install the heater on my scout car, but can not find any decent instructions how to do this. All TM's I looked through (TM9-705, TM9-1709, ....) show very few information about this matter. can anyone advise where to find more accurate information or does anyone have some experience mounting this?
thanks
rudy

Do you need a working heater, would be my counter point question.
I say that, because the driver and passenger area, get very very warm on their own.
And,,,,, The later lots of scoutcars, omitted having a heaters included.

I have removed a heater (it did not look like the one in the picture in the manual), from a lot 1 or 2 truck firewall only, many years ago.
(The engine was missing, so I cannot say how the plumbing was routed),
I still have that heater with brackets,,,,,, somewhere in my garage.
also.......
I will have to look on my scouts, but as I remember, all scout lots had firewalls with holes for the heater core to stick through.
