No, unfortunately not, these are basically armored fuel tanks that have the same blastic protection rating as the one that would have sitting inside the crew compartment. Here is a picture or two of the fuel tanks.

Jason I think the A3 added the external tanks and changed out the steeering to a wheel with a pivot steer transmission and super touchy brakes.
Just saying.
Canada might be the best option for M113 parts, they even had a nice rubber track replacement when I was over in Afghanistan in 2009-10. U.S. pretty much lend leased all of ours, or rebuilds them for the umpteenth time into A3's for Medics, Mechanics and Engineers. Would be a fun vehicle to obtain though.

I've got a source in Canada that might have them. The A2 had a mix of internal and external fuel tanks, depends on what was wanted at the time. I do like the A3 series with the neutral steer system.

Re: WTB: Set of External Fuel tanks for M113A2
A local police department (Doraville, GA) had a M113 they used for SWAT work that had a new set of rubber band tracks. They had to turn it in under Obama due to the Ferguson effect. I know the SWAT commander but at that point I did not have a M113. If I had it at when they had to return it, I would of more than likely be able to swap out the set of tracks, sprokets etc for the rubber band ones. The story of my life, right place, wrong time.
