The final coat is semi gloss green and the bedliner material will remain black.

Here's some examples of zinc-rich powder coat primer on the parts along with bedliner on an engine cover.

And here's some of the hatches with the final color coat and bedliner in select areas

Discovered we had a seal problem

Pulled the transfer case

There was some corrosion (red arrow) that caused the lip seal to be worn away as if it had been sanded (blue arrow)

When you guys are welding on the vehicle, especially the armor plate, do you use stainless wire in the mig? Curious as we are about to start a similar rest on a 6 wheel LAV. Your work always looks incredible....outstanding.

Thanks

Thank you John, we did a LAV300 a couple years ago as well 8)
If we're making TIG repairs to cracks, we use 309 stainless. If you're adding brackets and fabrications, MIG welding with ER70S-6 wire works fine. Here's a thread that shows a few welding examples viewtopic.php?f=82&t=173952

The transfer case has been repaired and reinstalled, now on to other problems...

The wiring harness has been cut in several places, and here's one of those places...the light switch assembly was taken out to this point.
Image

Picking up a new switch assembly and connector was easy, but it's a bit of a task to make solder repairs to the shell and pin connector, considering the location that it has to be performed.

The Question I have is this, why do the cops all of a sudden need to have wheeled tamks, body armor, and military full auto weapons? Are we that lawless of a society or do the rulers (yes I used the term rulers since the Obama and the statists tried to get the UN gun treaty rammed thru) just dont trust the population anymore? A case that illustrates the latter. I'd love to gt a WWII armored vehicle (I'd love a Sherman), but they can't be imported without an act of God. Alot of red tape justified by "It's to keep down street violence" or other stuff. Sorry for the rant guys, but I am getting tired of police at all levels using my tax money in this really awful economy to get armed o the hilt. Where I live, they are spending bookoos on choppers. I live where their are no LA style chases or anything that cant be done from a squad car. Even on this account, they overspend by buying dodge Chargers. I'd like less taxes and regulation so I may have a chance at buying a WWII M8 or a Veitnam vintage armored car. Again, sorry for the rant, but this post just triggered my frustrations.

https://www.justnet.org/other/1033_program.html

I hope this thread doesn't turn into bitch and whining towel, as that seems to have been the fate of many of my threads over the years. However I will make an attempt to try and address your post. The 1033 program is pretty easy to read and follow, so the link will speak for itself. I'm not a spokesman on behalf of any agency or a part of their think tank (no pun intended) responsible for the decision making regarding what is, or is not needed for their department, nor am I a spokesman on any level for the UN or the White House. Like anybody else I pay taxes too, but I doubt taking a dump in a man's thread who's taken the time to share the work that he does will help reduce my tax liability either  As far as the squad cars go, I don't build them but the folks that I talk to that does tells me the Chargers cost about the same as their GM and Ford competitors, but the Dodge would be their last choice of the three if the decision was up to them.

If there is any other questions or concerns that I can help with, please PM me and I will do my best at addressing them.

I want to apologioze. Your thread was not the place to vent my frustrations. Your work looks very good and good luck finishing it up. I hope you understand the frustrations I have, but this was not the place o voice them.
