Hmmm....can you elaborate on what you are doing? I couldn't figure it out yesterday and 37 others who checked the post did not respond either. I'm not sure what tool you need nor do I know what you are attempting to accomplish here.

Something to do with shock absorbers?
Front axle bushings?

Jeeps don't have struts.
If the request is regarding the fitting of shock absorber rubbers, I have never used any special tool but have replaced heaps of shockie bushes the following way on both Jeeps & LandRovers when in the military. Takes minutes, less time than locating & trying to use a special tool with little practical value.

The split pin is being used to compress the rubber for those who don't get the gist of what is being done.

Try a "C" clamp with a piece of PVC pipe with a NOTCH across one end....tighten the clamp against the PVC pipe against the flat washer and when the cotter pin hole can be seen where you made the notches....slide it into place.

Voila!

I did it Chuck's way years ago by cutting a notch in an old Craftsman socket and clamping it down with a c clamp till the rubber compressed enough to slide the cotter pin in. Worked great. Best wishes, Leo

If you do own or happen to have the GI Issue Shock Absorber tool, it still can be used in some locations with a bit of ingenuity.
