Starter switch
Does anyone have a floor starter switch they would be willing to sell before I order a repro

Re: Starter switch
FWIW, I burned out two repro floor starting switches before figuring out that the problem was the way that I used the switch. Correct technique, repro or original: Press straight down on the switch HARD, bottoming it out. Pressing lightly on the switch or at an angle just causes it to burn out internally over a short period of time. Don't "baby" the switch, in other words. Have had no more problems since figuring this out.
There are some good repro switches out there.
