Tower Park Swapping

Post by GPW13551 » Thu Apr 17, 2014 9:24 am

Does anybody know what the best day is for swapping and buying parts is at Tower Park. I will only be able to make it one day and want to go when the most people are out and about selling the stuff I need.

I won't be able to stay over but I will come on Wed and again on Fri.....

Usually by sundown on Wed about 40% or the spaces are filled....bu sundown on Thu about 75% or more and by sundown on Fri 110% of the spaces are filled....that does not mean ONE guy in each space....TP has a limited number of spaces and we cram two to four guys in some of them so that means there are a lot of parts guys there!

I arrive on Wed most years and after getting settled, make a quick round before supper....then it's usually 0900, 1300 and 1700hrs me and the guys walk around. I usually leave Sat at 1400hrs.....

Some pretty intresting stuff is there on Wed at the end of the day....but by Noon on Thur the parts shopping is steady as guys arrive all day.

I found great stuff on every day I have been there and some "fire sales" on Saturday have yeilded some good stuff also!

Weather should be pretty good, no tornados in sight...chance of sprinkles Monday then clearing and a bit breezy...Friday maybe some cloud cover....the usual spring weather can't make up it's mind....it is 75' on the time and temp down on highway 101 and about 77' here at the house. It is windier at TP as it comes through the Delta this time of year.
