Chuck:

A nice reprint of Ford's 730 page Master Parts List SNL G-658 dated February 29, 1944 is available for only $50.00 here:

http://www.reddickmilitaria.com/mm5/mer ... 00-010-000

and is described as follows:

A Reprint. Published by Ford Motor Co. for the US Government February 29, 1944. The Technical Manual SNL G-658 is the complete parts list for all of the cars and trucks Ford made for US Forces during WWII.
Reference book is fully illustrated. 200+ full page line drawings. 730 pgs. 8.5" x 11". SC

Note that is was published by Ford, not by Ordnance. With all your GPW research you owe yourself a copy so you can further elaborate on GPW parts.

Thanks for the link Fred, very helpful. I saw the Willys version recently and found that the parts were listed in part number order and consequently it's very difficult to locate an item unless you already know the part number.
Will have to get the normal parts list too I think.

Cheers,

Dave...you can get the DVDs of the Ford manuals that cover your two GPWs as they are early enough to have still been printed by Ford. They are on Ebait...The Ford and Willys TMS (Parts book and Maintenance book) have the USA numbers printed on the cover so you will know which you need. No manual I have ever seen in print is 100% correct so even then you are subject to finding original factory photos in some cases to support what you have found.

I think one of the sellers was ohiocountryboy on ebay....but ASK what the USA numbers are that are listed on the cover....

Those TM 10-1348 Parts Manuals printed in 1942 cover the
First contract which is probably dated January 1942
Second contract which is March or April
Third contract which is September

...after that I think the March 1943 is the Fourth contract manual

They are different and I have the last three because I am referencing for a 4/42 and 4/43 pair of GPWs....using a 1944 or 1945 SNL manual for REPLACEMENT parts that covers Willys and Ford jeeps is helpful but only so far....

The original manuals are around but are so collectible that you should just try to find the DVDs for the GPWs (or MBs) to start with. By the way, there was also a TM 10-1349 Maintenance Manual that went with the Parts Manual in the glove box of those GPWs.
