Since it's "F" marked it has to be horseshoe style.

Joel, any chance you could post a photo of it? I've always wondered if my F-marked BOD is original or repro. The F on mine is very small and lightly stamped, not the large type that you see on current repros.

Thanks,

John

We've had the best summer in decades John. Nearly to hot for the Vikings......lol
To bad I've been working the whole month of July :x
Holiday at last now, and I'm starting with assembling an engine for my '44 MB this weekend.

As you can see on the pics there are differences in both stamping point/position and letters on the "F" marks. I do have two others I can post if You like. One late '45 and one early '43. The Thombstone I have from the late '42 GPW, hasn't any marks as You already know.

By the way; do You still looking for a Mirror arm or brkt.?
Let me know

Hope Your doing fine

I am aware that original Ford guards are not common, but are they so scarce that they can be compared to a CCKW spare tire lock?
