Re: GPW & MB motor exchange / trade
Hello,
In the process of restoring my jeep.
Frame number GPW 2147 stamped on the Willys style chassis with original tub.
Just looking for a gpw engine really to finish it off.
Anything close, think my engine is a cj but not quite sure.
In the U.K.
Cheers

Lucas,
Look up one post. It appears that Michael O. may have the closest engine you are likely to find for your GPW.

ISO of an early '43 MB block, somewhere in the neighborhood of MB 241XXX. I have a CJ block that is in working order, stamped MB 241159 on water pump housing for trade.

If anyone is interested in any of the MB and GPW engines I posted in my previous post, I can bring them to the MVPA Convention next month.

Re: GPW & MB motor exchange / trade
Hello! Looking for MB engine/block in the range of 238,000 +/-
Pretty flexible on the +/- range, since I had to estimate the frame number based on the tub number to lead to an estimated engine number. Kinda like a bad photocopy of a bad photocopy. This is to replace the 440 Americar engine currently in my '43 MB.
Located in the Midwest.
Thanks!

Re: GPW & MB motor exchange / trade
Hello all!
I'm restoring MB 424534 and I am looking for an MB block. The D.O.D on the tub is 3/10/1945.
The engine that came with the motor is an early CJ-2a block cast early 1946. I can provide casting numbers and deck stamp if any one is interested.
I would be willing to do a trade plus cash on my end for an MB engine. The more complete the better. Thanks!
If you have anything the best way to reach me is via email: efoster@lbgct.com
I am located in Connecticut
Thanks!
