Post by GSD*GPW* » Wed Feb 22, 2017 4:25 pm

Greetings G-men,
This is a long shot, I know....Does anyone have a partial gallon or full gallon of the TM9 - SHADE #4 they would like to sell?
This shade is no longer produced and need it to match my current paint job now that spring is near!
I'd like to locate a gallon, but several partials will work too!
Drop me a line if can help out..
ThankS!
Greg

Back - to - the - top!
Ordered some TM9 OD#8 and too green for a match to my current paint job- although the TM9 Ordinance paint is very nice to work with, covers well and dries to touch quickly - Wish I had known about this and used it back in the early days!!
Anyone have any OD #4 - need some badly!
Thanks,
Greg

I thought Midwest Military had taken over the rights to this line. Are they not making your shade or carrying it? I got a few gallons of shade 8 from Mat Fox with Quartermaster Jeep Parts in Rising Fawn, GA and I thought he carried the entire line as well.

Indeed! I have been communicating with John at Midwest, very good to work with...but they don't carry the OD shade #4 anymore!
And the original formula is lost to us.
It sounds like they could reverse engineer the formula - IF I had sampling of the original paint.
Oh, then there is the cost to consider as well...
I'm willing to shell out a good sum - to the kind soul that has a gallon or partial gallon of the original OD shade #4!!
Hey, I know Mat at Quartermaster - I'll contact him too!

FOUND!! TM9 Paint - SHADE #4 FOUND!!

Post by GSD*GPW* » Sun Aug 27, 2017 6:52 am

Greetings G-folks,
Wanted to post a update - and send my most sincere thanks to John Bizal at Midwest Military!
After several discussions, John was able to have some TM9 OD shade #4 made for me. We painted the jeep yesterday - A PERFECT MATCH for the existing paint on my 44 GPW, just as hoped!
From my experience John/Midwest Military is a great person/company to do business with and I can recommend them with confidence!
Thank you, John, for taking the time to work with me and for continuing to produce the exceptional TM 9 Ordinance line of paints - the paint is by far the highest quality I have worked with, and the custom OD # 4 color - absolutely perfect!

Midwest Military = great products, great service!

Couldn't agree more. I have used the TM9 2430 paint for my M38A1 and the OD#8 on my 45MB and it is such great paint.
