Other than all the tin and carb, exhaust and muffler, spacer blocks, what adaptor went between the engine and the bell housing?

None, I did a retro kit on a Willys 4 cylinder mule back in the 70's,just had to cut the trans axle housing for the two cylinder pull starter if I remember right. 2 cylinder bolted right up.

Thanks for the response, so there was no adaptor plate between the engine and the transaxle then, you just notched the opening for the 2 cyl starter ? Other than hooking up different fuel line, throttle cable, and air intake hoses, and using the exhaust manifold and muffler for the two cyl, was there anything else involved?

The 2cyl engine bolted to the transaxle without any adapter plate so the clutch assy did not have to be modified. All clutch parts are interchangeable between the 4cyl and 2cyl.

The major conversion parts are:
Modifying the Starter Port on the Transaxle
Starter Spacer
Rear Bed Support Tubes
The Interior Bed Support Spacers
Besides all Bolts, Washers, LW, Fuel Lines, Throttle Cable, Spacers, Extensions and Shims.
