It is common knowledge that the Marines used the 106mm recoilless rifle quite extensively in VN mounted on the Mule.
I was just wondering if the same is true for Army units in VN as well?
My dilemma, my 1968 M274A5 is a Marine mule while my M274 is an Army unit. As the M274 is already beat and has had a few extra holes put in her, I would not be afraid to add a few more once I go to restore it and turn it into a 106 Mule. My A5 on the other hand has a very clean and straight deck so drilling it to modify for all the 106 bracketry etc isn't necessarily what I want to do....
Guess I could paint my M274 up as a Marine unit but I would really like to keep both in their original livery...
Suggestions?

Almost all the 106 photos I have show the rifles mounted on 4-cylinder mules and it's about 50/50 Army vs USMC. I think you would be very correct to use your Army M274.
