access cover
If anyone has pictures of the 4 wheel steering access cover for a M274A1 or wouldn't mind taking some and either posting or e mailing me some I would really appreciate it. I am missing mine and I will make me one, but would like some close up pictures of the top, bottom, maybe side and how the hold down looks top and bottom. I have a mill and work with aluminum a lot, so would not be a problem to make, would like to get it to look close to original.

Re: access cover
Thanks a lot Charles, very good pictures and also the dimensions , will not be hard to make. The show season has started for us now, might have to show the mule this summer without the cover, between the 62 M151 and now the Mule and our 2 cars we are kept busy, last year we done 24 parades or shows. Re: access cover
I will be interested to see how your cover turns out, I am looking for one, too. At one time, Bill Watson was planning to reproduce them, but apparently that project didn't get off the ground. If yours turns out well, I would be interested in buying one from you.

Re: access cover
If the extrusion is the correct profile, would it not be possible to sacrifice some beat up mule decks for the material then add the required bits and pieces
to replicate these covers?

Re: access cover
I think that is exactly what Bill planned to do. He told me he already had the correct latch and bolt made up. I cut a piece of an old deck that I had and made a cover for mine, but the piece I had was just a little too short and does not quite fit, I'd like to find a better one.

Re: access cover
It will be next winter when I get to making that cover, the busy part of the season is here now and also have lots of shows and parades to go to. Will try to remember to post update when get back in the shop next winter and have made some progress.
