My Working Mule

Post by tomztoy » Mon Nov 28, 2016 4:03 pm

Hi Everyone,
I joined the G503 last March and lurked around reading posts. After a month or so I posted that we were looking for a mule that would earn its keep working around the property. We needed something to carrying hay, water and misc treats for the critters living here. Shortly after posting I was contacted by muleman7 asking for more info about what we were looking for in a Mule. To make a long story short muleman7 offered to set one up for us. We now own a "mostly original M274-A5". The changes to the original A5 were made to better suit our needs. It has 4WS, winch set up for from & rear, extended the shift lever and a roll bar for grand-kids to hang on to. Planning on adding some LED lights and a steering column mounted ignition/light switches.
Muleman7 posts end with "Mules are my passion", he is not kidding. Thank you to G503 and muleman7.
Now for a few pictures. 8)

Could you post the Mfg. serial number off the data plate? Should be something like 10194, and probably April, 1968. Also, does it say "EMTEX" Thanks.

Charles did a great job on that mule. I personally saw it back in October. Nice unit ready for work and play!

Muleman7,
Thanks for posting the mule info for Chuck's database. We are in south eastern TN and have had some nasty weather to deal with.

Thanks, Charles. I believe you sent me this information before, but for some reason, I had the registration number as 324486, so I will correct it.
