So while checking fluids on my mule before the next event I pulled the right rear (passenger side rear) fill plug only to have it start poring out oil. After letting the oil level correct its self I put the plug back in and decided there's only one place the excess oil could come from and I check the transmissions oil level and yep it was low. So I guess I have a seal that has gone bad.
My question to everyone has this happened to anyone before and are the seals available local or do I need to give John Emery a call for new seals?
thanks

Re: Over full rear drop axle issue
Very common issue, same question was just asked, see Topic: "Question On Seals".

John Emery has the seal, but you'll also need a drop axle cover gasket, and any of the other bearings, seals or dust boot you might want to replace while you have the drop axle open.

Re: Over full rear drop axle issue
Here's a good thread that has some tips Charles Witt posted on how to get the axle out without removing the gear, which can sometimes be a real problem. Just take your time, be careful, and don't damage the drop axle snap ring groove.

If you do a search, there are several threads dealing with the tooling to removing and installing the B-1412 needle bearings, if you decide to replace yours.
