Like you said, I think it really depends on the terrain. If you are on flat land, it probably wouldn't be much of a bother, but in the mountains, it might be cumbersome.
The rifle is one of the new Ruger Precision Rifles. It is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. They just came out and are a great deal for anyone who wants to get into the long range shooting game. I haven't gotten to shoot it much, but so far I'm pretty impressed. It has a whole lot of features that a person would pay thousands more when buying a custom made rifle. I shot if Saturday to get the scope sighted in and am hoping to shoot it out to 1200 yards soon, to see how she does. May have to see what she can do at a mile.
