mule in parade today

Post by old man » Sun Jul 19, 2015 4:28 pm

It was a almost perfect day for a parade here. Home town so I knew lots of people along the way, The only thing that worried was why they put me behind the disaster relief truck! I guess it's better than that truck following you. I had a gopro mounted on the sign pole and it is really fun seeing the video of driving , I just don't know how to edit the clips down so I can post them.

not really honoring anything . more of a celebration: called Bavarian Blast. German heritage of old time music and schells beer. kind of a early october fest, guys wearing lederhosen, breeches made of leather. I asked one of them how do they wash them his answer was "they don't". just picture this - running around in leather pants you don't wash ,eating sauerkraut, and drinking beer on a hot summer day....... some how doesn't paint a pretty picture (or smell)....lol OK it's not that bad.
legion guys all had a good time hanging around the mule before the parade started. Up here so very few people have ever seen a mule before if they weren't in the service.

Looking good Steve, thanks for the photos. I REALLY LIKE your sign letting people know what kind of vehicle they are looking at. R Lee Ermey of Mail Call fame described the mules as " The most famous military vehicle you never heard of". I think that pretty well describes the reaction of most people who have never seen one before.
