Bill Watson passing

Post by Chuck W. » Sat May 02, 2015 7:27 pm

Just received an e-mail from friend John Emery informing me of Bill Watson's passing this morning. Apparently Bill's recent surgery was a success, but he developed some other abdominal complications. My condolences to Bill's wife, Freda, and his family. I understand that there will be a memorial service Sunday, but I don't have any details.

Godspeed, my friend - Chuck Watford

I arrived in this hobby after Bill sold his business to John Emery, John has carried the torch in the same grand manner that I hear Bill had set up. I can think of no greater honor to Bill in following his legacy.

Being in business you will run into people who you just cant make happy no matter how hard you try. Talking to folks here and various military vehicle shows I have never heard of anything but praise for Bill Watson and his business dealings. He ran life's course straight and true, well done and condolences to his family as he will be missed.

I had the same experience with Bill Watson. I got my Mule after Bill had sold his business. I heard all the stories of Bill going out of his way to help people get parts and with advice. I ordered parts from John Emery and he suggested I call Bill and we talked several times. I enjoyed our conversations and his helpful advice.
He made his mark and will be missed.

John Emery has been great to deal with also and very helpful.

Chuck has been great and helped me immensely also with advice and parts.
Thanks to all of them.

Bill will be missed, he was genuinely a great guy.

I had bought my first mule and found I was having to many problems working on it, I contacted Bill and talked with him about what I was finding. he told me what to look for and he was spot on. At that time he had just turned his business over to John Emery. I contacted John and he was sorting parts. later I went to visit Johns shop and have been doing business with him ever sense. I have been told by many ,stories about Bill from many people that knew him. He will be missed by many. From what I know and have experienced John is doing a great job carrying on what Bill started. His passing is a great loss to the mule community. Besides his friends and family. Thanks for posting his obit, that was real nice thank you

What greater legacy can you leave than personal testimonies of how you impacted others lives? He was a great guy, loved the LORD, loved and provided for his family, gave of his time and talents. He will be missed. Lots of people are trying to follow his example helping out, advising us, and passing on knowledge.

Thanks to everyone who shares their knowledge, I need to retire so I travel and can get out and meet a lot of friends I've found on these forums.
