Pics of my mew mule

Post by Gunslinger1$ » Sun Mar 01, 2015 10:23 am

Just thought I'd post some pics of my latest purchase. 1968 A5 2 wheel steer. I think this one is in pretty good shape. All parts are here, new tires ( not right, but new ).
the deck and frames look good.

Looks like you have all of the major components to put it back together. Nice looking deck, the aluminum ones sure seem to hold up better against corrosion than the magnesium ones do.

Looks good, Dave. I think I see the engine guard on the back of the platform, hope so, hard to find. Is that orange vehicle a VW 181?

I got everything for the motor and body, except the hour meter. It's all real solid, with very minor surface rust in just a few areas. I've got a line on a 4 wheel steer Frame with all the parts to convert to all wheel steer.
Thanks for selling me that pulley. I mailed you a check out today.
That's not a VW in the background its my dodge truck.

Oops! Sorry, a Dodge is a long way from a VW!!! Didn't think the exhaust looked right, but the bumper and the part of the fender sorta looked like the rear of a VW Thing!

thanks for asking Chuck, we're fine. we got 21" here. It's been a while since we've had that much. The snow doesn't bother me, it's the idiots that don't know how to drive in it, but still try.

Looks like you have a 'mule train' there. How well does the towbar work steering the mule being towed? Has anyone hooked up 2 or 3 mules in a mule train? How does that work?

The tow bar works great!! one day I'll hook all 4 together and take pics. That will make a good mule train. I guess you could hook as many as you want together, as long as the one doing the pulling had the power.
That's me driving the front one! Ha Ha!!
