Steering gear rebuild ?

The steering gear on my mule has lots of play - Is there a way to fix the play? or is replacement the only fix?

You can try to adjust the sector shaft, but the mule steering box takes so much abuse, it's probably worn out. I don't think there are any NOS steering boxes left. At one time, Bill Watson was rebuilding steering boxes, but since he sold out to John Emery, don't know if anyone is rebuilding them. I do believe John has most of the rebuild parts.
You might try searching this forum for topics on steering gear repair, I know it has been covered many, many times over the years.
