Dang Chuck, you sure do nice work! That has to be the nicest deck I have seen, where did you find such a creampuff?

The switchbox is an early Leonard Grove reproduction of the military one, it was in one of the boxes of parts.

The owner did all the deck repairs before he brought it to me, it's good looking magnesium deck, and the engine cover is wood!

Gotta ask, how does it run? I assume you didn't push it.....

The engine got new jugs, pistons and heads, carb & fuel pump. Runs good, starts good, no choke. I'm satisfied with the way it turned out, will have to wait and see what the owner thinks.

Well, sounds like you have time to play with it some, (er, seat the rings on a test drive). With all the grief that turkey caused you, you got that coming.

Time to work on some of my own junk for a change!
I got the mule work stand out of the shop today and the CJ3B in position to start pulling the engine for a new clutch. Also gets a new exhaust system and a carb rebuild.

Got the batteries charged on the M38 and let it run for a little while, got the parts that I robbed off my mule for patterns back on and fired it up and let it run for a while. Nice to see everything running at the same time for once!

John V. came by and picked up his mule today. I think he was happy with the results. A club member who lives down the road wants me to fix a bad throwout bearing in his A5 mule, and then that's the end of the mule work.
I've just about finished the clutch job on my CJ3B, and decided to send the Carter YF to Jim Wallace in Pensacola for rebuilding Jim does amazing work, so I know it will be done right.

there's always one more to fix. I think that's part of having a mule, there is always something that needs work,or something to do.

Hopefully this job will go straight forward and not be a mule from hell repeat. Have to admit though, that other mule sure looked good when you finished it Chuck. :D
