magnesium welding rod
what type magnesium welding rod is best when repairing a mule deck az92a is the only thing i can find any info would be great

You want to have your deck TIG welded with the appropriate filler. I did post it elsewhere here on the Forum.

AZ 92A or AZ 92 T60 will work just fine.
Depending on the extent of your repairs, the diameter of the rod is also important. Small repairs to the .080" thick deck will work best with 1/16"
Larger repairs to other areas are OK with the easily available 1/8" rod.
WATCH THE HEAT. And, clean-clean-clean ALL Mg. debris in the area before torching up.
Just go for it. It will work just fine.

many thanks for the info i have some issues with this bed where the muffler and i believe the air cleaner would hang these holes are pulled threw or rounded out i have other issues in other parts of the bed i have welded aluminum with the tig welder before and rather enjoyed it they say magnesium is some what like it but just dirty again many thanks for the info and i will let you know how things go
