Freshly Restored Mule For Sale

Post by slaughter » Thu Mar 25, 2010 9:07 am

In the process of completing an A5 mule to show quality condition with many NOS parts. I hope to have it ready in a couple weeks, and have it at Knob creek in Kentucky if completed in time. The mule is a 2 wheel steer, with electric start. Asking price of $9,000. Please call if interested, or if you have questions. I will post pictures when complete. Also offer many options like camo paint scheme, gun mounts, or wide tires, and fenders. I can E Mail pictures of other mules i have completed, and sold to very satisfied customers.

Looks great, nice work. My A5 has original camouflage, same pattern but they painted everything except the name, shift pattern plates and the seat. When I power washed it I saw some old stencils and reflector tape underneath the paint. I was wondering what others have seen in camo mules...

Based on my personal mule and the camo mules I have seen, the camp pattern may have been applied over the normal solid color mule paint and reflectors. I have not seen an original camo Mule with the reflector tape showing. Also, on the several original camo mules I have owned or seen, the lettering on the camo mules should be black.

ditto! If that's correct, I'd like to duplicate it.

Ok Guys, you are gonna make me find a picture of the same writing on a mule seat back that I purchased at the Dayton show. I took a picture before I painted over the info. I just have to find the picture on the laptop.

Hold on while I find it.

Ok, I found them. Here are a couple of pictures.
Picture #1 shows most of the writing except part of the writing in the lower right corner. Picture #2 shows that writing.

according to TM 9-2320-246-34P:

2540-909-2471 BACK ASSEMBLY: seat, with pad and cover 10945090

This is what I think I read in Rod's photos, anybody have a better idea?
The 12/6/69 date would make these markings correct only for a very late Brunswick Corp. A5 mule, probably an army contract mule.

I know this is an old post, but how did you get such sharp lines on your camo? Did you tape it out?
